Despite a wide and varied musical influence having grown up in Africa as well as residing in Pakistan and London, Dr G has never lost site of his ultimate passion, the underground dance scene.

Following 20 years of loving and hoarding music and DJing privately, DJ G has emerged as one of the most talented regular DJs in Kuala Lumpur, holding residency at Como and Privi and earning regular guest appearances at Pisco and Elysium.

Only last month he opened for international headliner and Bangkok heavyweight Dan Buri at special presentations at Privi and Elysium.

For Dr G, the concept of Connected is about bringing together like-minded DJs with the aim of playing their specific complimentary sets of sounds across the night, increasingly supporting a range of local and international top talent that fits in with their vision of what a great party should be.

As a result, Dr G places close attention on playing with the emotions of the crowd; crafting an emotional journey where each track is like a piece of a puzzle.

He favours tracks with the right kind of vocals towards the beginning of a set, typically Deep House, then progressing through the House and Tech House range as the set develops and

the crowd switches onto the sounds.

He loves the hypnotic abandon of good Techno and laces many of his tracks with Techno backing, ending in full Techno as the set culminates.

One particular feature of Dr G is his vast catalogue of music, mixing the latest tunes with rare and classic tracks from the last 15 years.

“I’m always looking to find that unique sound and twist on standard tracks and for that perfect blend between two unexpectedly complimentary tunes.”

He is heavily influenced by legendary British DJs like Sasha, Digweed, Pete Tong and Carl Cox as well as old school dance bands including the Prodigy, 808 State, Stereo MCs, Future Sound of London, Scum Frog and trance offerings from groups such as Nightmares on Wax.

Dr G is excited to make Connected the ultimate live music platform in KL, where people get to share the experiences they love.
